Migrating assessment events from Lifecycle Insights to Lifecycle Manager

Completed Lifecycle Insights assessments can be migrated to Lifecycle Manager for Lifecycle Manager X clients.

This article walks through the migration process and shows where migrated assessments appear in Lifecycle Manager.

Who can use this feature?

  • Users with Administrator permissions in both Lifecycle Insights and Lifecycle Manager
 

What you'll need:

  • A Lifecycle Manager X license applied to the client to access assessments in Lifecycle Manager.
  • Migrated assessment templates that correspond to the completed assessments to be migrated.
  • Lifecycle Insights companies mapped to Lifecycle Manager clients.
 

Navigate to the migration tool

  1. Log into Lifecycle Insights with an admin account. (The same account must also have admin permissions in Lifecycle Manager)
     
  2. Click Account Settings in the left navigation panel of Lifecycle Insights.

     
  3. Select the Data Migration tile.

Note: At the top of the Data Migration page, the Lifecycle Manager admin account associated with the currently logged-in user is displayed. Ensure the account shown is the one associated with the Lifecycle Manager account you want to migrate assessment events to.
 

 

Migrating assessment Events

At this point, it is important to note that assessment events are only available for this process if the company is mapped to a client in Lifecycle Manager and its corresponding assessment template has already been migrated.

Once you have confirmed that the required templates are migrated, and the companies mapped to clients, proceed with the following steps:

  1. Click + NEW MIGRATION in the upper right of the screen.

     The data migration modal appears.
     
  2. Choose the Assessment events data type from the drop-down.
     
  3. A list of assessment events is shown, along with their migration status:
    • Ready - An assessment ready to be migrated into Lifecycle Manager.
    • Completed - An assessment event that has already been migrated to Lifecycle Manager. (Note that if a previously migrated assessment is deleted from Lifecycle Manager, this field will still show completed in Lifecycle Insights)
    • Failed - A previously attempted migration that has failed.

      Click the checkbox beside each assessment event to select them for migration.
       

  4. Click START MIGRATION.
     
  5. Enter an email address to be notified when the migration is completed. Click START MIGRATION in the modal.

The assessment event migration begins immediately and runs in the background. You'll receive an email when it's completed.

Reviewing Migrated assessment events in Lifecycle Manager

After your assessment events have been migrated to Lifecycle Manager, no action needs to be take, but it's still advisable to check and confirm that they appear as expected in Lifecycle Manager.

To view your migrated assessment events:

  1. Log into Lifecycle Manager.
     
  2. Click Home in the top navigation bar and select Clients.
     
  3. From the client list, find the client for whom you have migrated an assessment event and click their name to view the client dashboard.
     
  4. Click Assessments from the left navigation panel.

Your assessments for this client are listed on the assessments page (Both migrated and ones created within Lifecycle Manager).
