Lifecycle Insights Recommendations can be migrated to Lifecycle Manager as Initiatives for Lifecycle Manager X clients. This lets you retain the history of your Lifecycle Insights recommendations while moving your roadmap and project planning into Lifecycle Manager X.
Migrated data is copied from Lifecycle Insights into Lifecycle Manager. Your original recommendations remain available in Lifecycle Insights and can continue to be used there. Migration is a one-way, point-in-time sync from Lifecycle Insights to Lifecycle Manager and may take up to 24 hours to complete, depending on volume.

What you'll need:

Navigate to the migration tool
- Log into Lifecycle Insights with an admin account. (The same account must also have admin permissions in Lifecycle Manager)
- Click Account Settings in the left navigation panel of Lifecycle Insights.
- Select the Data Migration tile.

Note: At the top of the Data Migration page, the Lifecycle Manager admin account associated with the currently logged-in user is displayed. Ensure the account shown is the one associated with the Lifecycle Manager account you want to migrate data to. |
Migrating Recommendations
Recommendations are only available to migrate if the company is mapped to a Lifecycle Manager X client.
Once you have confirmed that the Lifecycle Insights company has been mapped to the corresponding Lifecycle Manager client, proceed with the following steps:
- Click +New Migration in the upper right of the screen.
The data Migration modal appears.
- Choose Recommendations from the Data Type drop-down.
- A list of Recommendations is shown, along with their migration status:
- Ready - A Recommendation ready to be migrated into Lifecycle Manager.
- Completed - A Recommendation event that has already been migrated to Lifecycle Manager. (Note that if a previously migrated recommendation is deleted from Lifecycle Manager, this field will still show completed in Lifecycle Insights)

Failed - A previously attempted migration that has failed.
- Use the filters to narrow the list to specific recommendations:
- The Search bar can be used to filter by Company name.
- Use the From date and To Date filters to refine the list to within specific dates.
- Check the box beside each Recommendation to select it for migration.
- Click START MIGRATION.
- Enter an email address to be notified when the migration is completed. Click START MIGRATION in the modal.
The recommendation migration begins immediately and runs in the background. It can take up to 24 hours to complete, depending on volume and you'll receive an email once it's done.
Reviewing migrated Initiatives in Lifecycle Manager
After your recommendations have been migrated to Lifecycle Manager, no action needs to be taken, but it's advisable to check and confirm that they appear as expected in Lifecycle Manager.
Your migrated recommendations appear as Initiatives in Lifecycle Manager, and can be viewed on their respective clients' Roadmap. To view them:
- Log into Lifecycle Manager.
- Click Home in the top navigation bar to access the Client List.
- Find the Lifecycle Manager X client for whom you've migrated recommendations and click their name to view their Client Profile.
- Click Roadmap from the left navigation panel.
Your Recommendations will appear as Initiatives on the Roadmap. Click the initiative to view its data and confirm that the migration was successful.

Related to
